PADI, the world's largest diver training organization, produces the finest instructor training programs available. Blue Horizons uses the most current tools and techniques to provide a professional learning experience. An Instructor Development Course (IDC) has 3 components: the Assistant Instructor (AI) course; the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) course; and the Instructor Exam (IE).
Our focus is not only on for our students/candidates to pass the IE, but also for the students to become competent, confident and successful instructors for today's diving environment.
You will be equipped with an excellent understanding of the diving industry, scuba course promotional techniques, progressive instructional methods and state-of-the-art diving information.
Our programs draw upon a group of experienced IDC Staff Instructors, who provide variety of teaching styles and a wealth of knowledgeable mentors. Remembering that everyone begins this sport for fun, we make the programs as enjoyable and as engaging as possible for both the students and the staff.
A member of our teaching staff will attend your IE to offer moral support and to ensure success.
Includes AI tuition classroom, pool and open water sessions.

Scuba Tune-Up classes are conducted every first Saturday of each month. Call to schedule your class, today or send us an e-mail.
Are you a certified diver who hasn’t been able to get in the water enough —too much work, not enough play?
Join us on the first Saturday of each month (excludes December) for $10 Bubbles and a Beer. For $10, any certified diver can join us in the pool. Tank is included. Don’t have your own gear yet? For another $10 you will get an entire scuba kit to use.
Cylinder and weights are included with first $10.
Right after the event, we will head to one of the local watering holes/restaurants to grab a beer, some food & hang out. The restaurant will be a family-friendly establishment, welcoming those who can drink beer, as well as those who can only drink root beer. For those who want to drink beer, proper ID and legal age are required.
Come as often as you like; we would love to see you. Blowing bubbles is always a great time, even if it’s just in the pool. Please call to sign up so we know how many are coming.
